Beautiful/Interesting quotes/lines

"When you really want something, the whole universe will conspires to make sure you get it" - The Alchemist
"The heart only talks to children, drunkards and elderly" - the Alchemist
(make sure you talk to your heart once in a while, cheers)

"the biggest trouble with the modern world is the intellectual fallacy that freedom and compulsion are two different things" - the Fountainhead

"Isn't that the root of every despicable action? Not selfishness, but the precisely the absence of the self" - the Fountainhead

My Ignorance

Its been a long time since my last blog and there has been so many things that I have have experienced which i wished to share but due to sheer time constraints, just could not.

Just days before i went on to see this movie Mumbai Meri Jaan, i met an old friend who sensitized me towards the Bihar Flood issue that has been on the news for a while now. Not understanding the gravity of the situation till that day, i was shocked to realise the kind of chaos happening there and also my Ignorance towards things happening in my own country. I not only blaim myself for this but also the media.

I have had serious doubts about the credibility of the media in bringing the news to the masses. News channels lost their appeal to me a long time back with their whole Breaking News concept and the Arushi Murder Case. The case has been on the news longer than it should have been. They could always find something Masalafied enough to continue the thing for over a month. During the same time, also came along the Jaipur news. Over 80 people died in the blasts but no updates where available after 2 days. Media has been putting pressure on the Police by questioning their capability and asking for updates on the case every now and then. But now it seems they themselves are more involved in Creating rather than bringing the actual news.

The movie name came up becouse i wish to add to something about that too. It is actually a movie about Mumbai train blasts. But a good deal of satire against the press and the way it is captured on-screen just impressed me. The movie also questions the rigidity of the mind and how we stereotype people based on their profession, religion, community etc.

An important part of growing up is Self-realisation. I realised that i have still a lot to learn couz i still don't trust the Police. Rather than being feeling secure in their presence, i m all the more scared. Well i am sure the situation will change with time and effort. Some day not distant from now, the media will be bringing the news in all its verasity.

Through this post i sincerely thank that friend of mine (Pandey Papa) and the makers of this movie.
